Plastic Apocalypse

It all started in 1907 with
Leo Baekeland inventing the
first synthetic plastic and beating
his rival James Swinburne to 
the Patent office by one day.

The united States is the top
producer of plastic in the world
and used to export its plastics to 
China until a 2018 Green Sword
policy banning US imports because of
Contaminated plastics with food still
in them turning it into landfill waste
filling chinese landfills.

The US now ships its plastics to Mexico 
and Canada.

England a decade ago created
blacktop with plastic and paved
a stretch of road to test its resillience.
Semi trucks loaded with goods have
run over this stretch of road without
even the slightest wear.

Americas roads should be paved
in this way and all the blacktop
we have put down needs to be
replaced with plastic roads made
from recycled plastic.

There are now 2 patches of plastic
in the ocean right now and it 
seems to be our favorite place
to put our single use plastic
out of sight and mind.

Plastic then turns into micro
plastics and pollutes our planets
oceans and brings harm to our
marine life.

China recycles about 45% of
the worlds plastics at 170 million
tons from 2011 to 2022.

Rwanda is the only country
that is Plastic Free.

The Solution for Alaska is to
recycle all its plastics and 
pave our roads making
them darn near indestructible.

Policy makers and the Government
never listen anyway and one
day we will be up to our
eyeballs in plastic.
